Friends

I want to give a shout out to all my friends, and say thank you. Thank you for the fun times we have had, the fun times to come, and everything between. I had such a great time at our "playdate" today, it just made me realize what awesome friends I have. Thank you so much Jodie for letting us come over and play. The salad was amazing! Yum-o. MaCrae had so much fun, he couldn't stop talking about the sheep and goat the rest of the day. And when bedtime came around, he didn't even put up a fight. Of course, he played pretty dang hard, I think he wore all of us out just watching him. And thank you to everyone there for being so patient with him. He just can't seem to catch on to the concept of being gentle around babies. But we are working on it. Anyway, it was so nice to get out of the house and socialize today.

Baby Blues

So Madi has been a great baby, as far as she wines only when she is hungry, has a wet/dirty diaper, or has a belly ache. But MaCrae on the other hand has been driving INSANE!! I love the kid, but right now I don't know if I can handle it. I have to make MaCrae take a nap now, even though he has been going without one for a while now. If I don't give him a nap he is mean, really mean all afternoon. But if he takes a nap he is up until 9:30 at night. Well, last Friday he was having one of his usual mean afternoons, and I lost it. I don't remember what he threw at me but I lost it. I drug him to his room and was so close to physically hurting him it was scary. I ran out grabbed Madi and locked myself in my bedroom for an almost 2 hours, crying. It was a good thing Jen was here to watch him, because I didn't care anymore. Ryan got home, and was so mad at MaCrae he put him right to bed (it was like 6:00), took Madi to his mom's, and took me out to dinner. It was so nice to get out, without any kids. I know there are a lot of mom's out there that must think I am an unfit parent, but life gets pretty hard after 2 weeks of little sleep, a messy house, and a 2 years old who refuses to listen! I have started using Arbonne's hormone cream, to hopefully help me through these baby blues, so good luck to me.

Pictures

Here are just a few of my favortie picutres. There are way too many to post. And they are all in color, chocolate, and I am having some done in antique. So you can imagine that trying to decide which pictures I want to print, in what color, and where I am going to put them all is quite a big decision. I am going to redecorate a wall in my living room so I can put pictures up, it just might take me a while. I am a freak about putting things on my walls if I don't intend on them staying for a long time.

He loves me. He loves me not. HE LOVES ME!

Last night I found out I don't get my pictures until Friday. Yeah, I was way bummed, but I guess another 24 hours won't kill me. But we did have a major breakthrough with Mac. Tuesday MaCrae decided that he liked Madi and ever since he has wanted to help feed her, hug her, hold her, and kiss her. Which is really cute, but it is actually more difficult with Mac now, becasue I have to have a constant eye on him. But I had to get proof that he would hold her, and give her kisses because I didn't know if it was a one time fluke. I took Madi in for her Dr. check up yesterday, and she has gained 12oz. This girl out eats her brother already. She is in the 50% for weight; MaCrae never even made it on the charts. I have to say however that when the nurse mearsured her she had her finger around the 21" mark. Then when the doc came in he told me she was in the 95% for height, and the nurse had written down 23". So this morning I measured her myself 3 times and for the life of me couldn't get her height past 20"! So who the heck knows. She was only 19" when she was born, so I highly dought she grew 4 inches in 11 days. I guess we will never know! Regardless of numbers, she is growing fast, and is nice and healthy.

Picture Time

As I told you, we had picutre on Saturday. MaCrae was his usual active self, so I was amazed at some of the picutres Katie was able to get. You have to have a lot of patience to work with him, but I think he's worth it. Anyway, these are just a couple of sneak peeks from our session. I get the CD on Thursday, and cannot wait to see the rest. The hardest part of having pictures taken was choosing the photographer. Everyone knows atleast 5, but I think Katie did an awesome job.

We have a keeper!

So far adjusting to being the mom of 2 hasn't been that terrible. Madison is an awesome baby (knock on wood that doesn't change!) She is a big eater during the day and wakes up twice at night to eat, once around 2 and the other around 6. I am still crashing on the couch though. It has been so long since I slept in my own bed, I think it will be wierd to sleep there again. Anyway, Madison is a pretty content baby, which I am grateful, because with MaCrae I couldn't handle more than I have now.

Yes, the flower is as big as her head!

How do I even begin to tell everyone how much I love my kids. I am so grateful I have two amazing and special children. MaCrae has been such a trooper since my mom left. She was always there for him to play outside and jump on the tramp since I couldn't. Let's just say she was tired by the end of each day. So Friday after she left I gave him a new Bubble Gun and let him chase Mercedes around the back yard for hours. It wasn't as fun as being with Grandma, but it was a close second. Saturday I had the kids pictures taken and let's just say it actually went better than expected, however Mac wouldn't hold Madi for a second. Not even when we bribed him with a sucker. He doesn't mind her being with us, just as long as he doesn't have to hold her. I'm sure time will change things. But the pictures went so well, and I cannot wait to share some of them with you.

We have a Baby Girl!

Madison Kay Jensen has finally arrived May 10, 2008 at 6:15 a.m. 7 lbs. and 19" of beautiful baby. We are so happy to finally have her at home. Things went much better than expected. I went to my Doc appt last Friday to make sure I still needed a full induction. As of 2:30 that afternoon, it was a definate yes. By the time I made it to the hospital to check in at 8:30 Friday night I had already started on my own. Just like Mac's labor it wasn't progressing very fast, so I started walking around the hospital to speed things up. But the contractions got so strong I asked for pain meds. They were great, but they stopped my contractions. I felt like the night was never going to end and I was never going to have this baby. So the nurse started me on PIT to get things going again. But because I was trying to go "all natural" they started me off very slowly. Within 20 minutes I went from a 6 to my water breaking on it's own, to having the baby! Yeah, the doc didn't even make it. I had 7 awesome nurses deliver Madi. My mother and mother-in-law didn't even make it out of the room. And you know what, at that point, I didn't even care. So for them Happy Mother's Day! What a relief to have it over with. MaCrae is adjusting very slowly, but with little time right now, I will update you with more details later.

Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that the next time you read my blog Madison will be here. I cannot wait, and cannot believe I have had to wait this long. Ryan's grandma says that she is still getting special instructions because she will grow up with Ryan for a dad and MaCrae for a brother. But believe me, nothing will prepare her for this family! Just kidding. We already love her, and know she is worth the wait. I hope all you mother's have a very special Mother's Day. This is your day, and you deserve to be spoiled.

MaCrae has played nonstop outside these last few days since the weather has been so nice. Yesterday he went outside around 9:30 and came in around 7:30. No kidding. He played with Mercedes and my mother all morning, we went to the park after lunch, and again in the backyard until after dinner. He only came in for a short lunch. Now the weather is yucky today, but he wants to be outside again. Thanks mom for being such an amazing friend for Mac.

Today also started out not so great. Jen and I had a little run in, and as emotionally, physically, and mentally tired as I am, I couldn't take it. I got ready and left the house. My mom was nervous to let me go alone, so she took me down the Idaho Falls again. We got a couple of outfits to match some cute Carter's Heart shoes Jen got for me. Then we went to the Olive Garden for lunch. Their salad and breadsticks are so dang good! I wish my stomach wasn't so crowded, so I could eat more. Well, I am exhausted, so I am going to bed and reading New Moon while my mom takes a nap with Mac.

So baby update: I had an appt today and was going to be started, but she is refusing to come. I have not progressed in this labor progress one bit since last Tuesday! So if the Doc started me today, the baby would most likely go into stress and I would end up with a c-section. Not good for the baby. So I have another appt on Friday. If I have not progressed any further I will be admitted into the hospital that night, and go through a full induction. If things are progressing on thier own, I will go into the hospital Saturday morning and be put on PIT. So not that anyone really cares, but we will have a baby by Saturday. Once again I was so depressed after my appt. I just don't understand how I could go through the world's easiest labor and delivery with my first child, and now this. I'm sure she will be worth the wait. So once again, we made a day of eating out and shopping. I got a really cute pair of pink and white espadrillas and another headband for my little girl. Jen (my niece) got her tax money back, so she had a blast shopping for new clothes. My mom said that if I don't have this baby soon, we will all be broke! Too late!! Well, my husband brought a friend home from golf for dinner, so I better get out to the grill.

More Shopping

My mother, niece, Mac, and I spent another day shopping trying to get my mind off how miserable I have been. Plus the mall is a good place for Mac to run. I did however find a ton of awesome deals. I had a "friends and family discount card" for Macy's on top of the 40% off sales. So Mac added to his already growing too fast wardrobe. I am starting to be unconvinced their is even a baby in my belly, so I haven't really been buying anymore baby girl clothes! I found these flip-flops at Old Navy for $5. Mac has really sensitive feet, so I really didn't think he would wear them, but they were so cute. When we got home I had him try them on and he thought they were awesome. He walked funny for a while to get used to them, but when I went to take them off he wouldn't have it. He wore them around for about an hour showing them off to everyone like 10 times.
I have had such a fun week with my mom here. We have done so much, and she has really helped me around the house. She scrubbed bathrooms, my fridge, and my oven. My brother is graduating from college today in Utah, so she took off this morning. If you have a chance to read this, Thank You so much mom. I loved having a week to spend with you doing absolutley nothing but hanging out. Hopefully next week your trip will be blessed with a new grandbaby.
