Baby Update

Still no baby! I had a doc appt yesterday and I have am now dialated from a 1 to a 2. Yeah, 5 days of labor for one stinkin centimeter. Not what I call an easy labor. But my mom is with me this week to help take my mind off time, and to hopefully be here when I actually deliver the baby. I am not so sure there is a baby anymore! The doctor was really supprised to see me yesterday, he thought there was no way I wouldn't have the baby over the weekend, but here I am. So because of legal issues and the chance the lungs might not be fully developed they will wait until Monday, May 5. If I haven't had the baby they will induce me. I was so dissapointed after the appt I ate a Big Mac with a large Dr. Pepper! Yeah, I was pretty upset.

But the last 2 days have been so much fun with my mom. The weather has been beautiful, so after a morning of shopping in Idaho Falls we meet with Karissa (my sister in law) and Kenadee (Mac's cousin) at the Rigby park. After swinging for like an hour Mac wanted to play in the sand with some other kids. Someone had left a shovel so Mac found it and started dumping sand into another little boys bucket. This other little boy did not like it, and would dump it out and turn away everytime Mac would do this. So Mac started dumping it over his head. Mean yes, I did put a stop to it, but it was really funny the way it happened. The kid was just so ticked off that Mac wouldn't leave his bucket alone. So we left the park and bought some sand box toys of our own, went over to Karissa's and they played for another couple hours on the tramp, in the sand, on the swing set, and Jon came home with a giant kite. Mac thought that kite was so cool. They kids had a blast, and we all got plenty of sun. Yesterday we had Karissa and Kenadee meet us again at McDonalds, and once again the kids played hard. MaCrae has been such a good little boy the last couple of days. I think finally getting out of the house has made a big difference. We were in Idaho Falls when Mac had an accident yesterday and I had no diapers left. So we ran to Fred Meyer's and Mac wanted to go into their playland so bad. He could have cared less that we left him for an hour. He had so much fun. He was the only kid there, and picked up all the toys like a big boy so they gave him a cookie card to redeem a free cookie at the bakery. What a cute idea.

FRUSTRATION!!!

Our little girl is playing with our emotions already. Thursday afternoon I started having some serious contractions. Ryan was in Afton, WY and I didn't want to worry anyone. I called my mom and she told me to sit in a tub of warm water. If they were real contactons the warm bath would make them stronger. I sat in the tub for about 1o seconds and felt a rush of pressure like the baby was coming any second. So, I called my sister-in-law who rushed over and took me up to the doctor. I was dialated to a 1 with untimable contractions . The doc told me he thought he would see me up to the hospital that night, so to go home and rest. As soon as I got home the contractions stopped all together. So Friday morning my parents, MaCrae and I went to Idaho Falls to get some shopping done, and to hopefully start the labor again. Well, it worked. On the way home my contractions got consistant at 3 minutes apart. They weren't take my breath away contractions, but with how Mac's delivery went, we wanted to be safe. So we headed up to the doc's again. The contractions were steady, but doing nothing. I was still at a 1. Dr. Barton said they were real, but unless they start doing something we were at a loss. He gave me a perscription for Ambien, and told me to go home and rest through the these small pains, and we were likely to be seeing him at the hospital last night. I took the Ambien at 4:30. Occasionally I would wake up in the middle of the night and feel the contractions stronger, but nothing I couln't sleep through. Until 4:30 this morning. I woke up with a TERRIBLE contractions. Lasted 4 minutes of constant pain. I had another one shortly and everyone (my husband and parents) were ready to go. I knew these were real, but was not satisfied. I told Ryan I wanted to have a few more before we left. Sure enough, the bad ones stopped. I had small contractions for the next 90 minutes, and now hardly any. Let me tell you, I am ready for a C-Section. In fact my dad asked if we could do that with the next one so we didn't have all these false alrams. If anyone has any advice to get this going for REAL, let me know!

It has been a while since my last post. I haven't really been in the blogging spirit myself. But it sounds like there are quite a few of us out there. It must be the crappy weather. We need SUMMER!! Anyway. I have to congradulate April and Stevie on their new babies. So cute and fun. I am the type of person that doesn't hold a new born baby, I just don't feel comfortable unless it is my own baby. But tonight I went to visit Stevie, and there was no hesitation, I had to hold him. He was so small and perfect. I could have held him all night, but I wanted her other visitors to have a chance. I am so stinkin baby hungry now, I can't wait, I want to have my baby NOW. I hope she is reading this, becasue I am done waiting!! Mac is starting to talk about the baby a lot too. I think he is secretly really excited. He has been taking some of his stuffed animals on 4-wheeler rides, and he likes to go in Madi's room and play on her floor. A new baby and Mac will be interesting, but I think it will go better than I am expecting.

Last Sunday my niece moved in with us, whoe is 16. We are all trying to make some adjustments right now, and things are difficult, but I will give it some more time before really judging the situation. I really hope this turns out for the best, but we will see. Mac is attached to her. She can't even go the bathroom without Mac wanting to be by her side.

Madison's Nursrey

This last weekend my parents came up and helped paint the nursrey. The room isn't finished yet, but we are a lot closer than before. Ryan has asked me to go buy decor for the walls so we can cover up some of the pink. It looks good, but it is a lot of pink. Plus the carpet is white, so the color seems extra bright. I am also in the market for a rug in pastel colors, so if you have seen one, or come across one let me know. Rugs are expensive, so I don't want to buy one until I know it's what I really want. I bought curtain panels for the room, but when we put them up last night we were both in agreement that I needed different curtians. I think I am going to buy another bed skirt like the one I have and make curtains out of them. Not sure yet.

Straightner update: still love it. The straightner I got does not have an adjustable temp, so if you have fine hair it might not be good for you. I'm not sure what the rule of thumb is for thin hair. But for thick hair like mine, it is amazing. So anyway, I highly recommed it. I think they are up to $35 now, but that is still a lot better than $130, it's retail price. So anyone in the market, good luck, if you have any questions let me know.

My New Straightner!

So my husband flipped when I told him the new straighter I wanted would cost around $120. Ryan got me a really nice one 3 years ago for Christmas, but Mac dropped it and the ceramic plates cracked. So I rushed out to Wal-Mart and bought a Vidal Sasson straightner for probably $25. But it doesn't work worth a dang, so I have been doing my homework on finding a new one. Well, I came across this Chloche staignthner on e-bay for $24.99! After researhing it's original website I decided to give it a try. And if it sucked I wouldn't be out much. I got it this afternoon and couldn't wait to try it out. Love it! I will give it another few days and see how it goes, but it works wonders. It gets extremely hot, and left my hair so silky. If you are in the market, give it a try, and best of all, it's pink!!
