Yum-O

So, I wake up this morning feeling pretty good, considering the last week. I have a nice bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, and think today is going to be a good day. After a nice turkey sandwich for lunch, it is time to dig into dessert. I always wait until after lunch before eating any candy. I don't know why, maybe I think that calories don't count after noon, who knows. But I reach for a hand full of Mini Cadbury Eggs. I am not much of a chocolate freak, but there is just something about these candies that I cannot get enough of. They are like the candy of all candy to me. Then after finishing off the bag, that probably lasted this family 2 or 3 days, I think to myself, maybe if I lay off candy for just a couple of days, I might get over this sinus infection. I don't know ladies, those Cadbury Eggs are pretty dang good. I recommend everyone running out and getting a bad ASAP!

More Kleenex Please

So this is flu season, and I have been very picky about when and where I take MaCrae out lately. Last week we left the house for one day of shopping and BAM! we are sick. MaCrae came down with a horrible runny nose, caugh, and was just miserable. All he would do was cry and whine, which is very out of character for Mac. Normally he is a pain in the butt, only because he goes throughout the house like the Tazmanian Devil, leaving his trail behind him. So come Friday night and it hits me too. I'm thinking it is just a cold, keeping close tabs on our temps. Sunday I was ready to visit community care, but not wanting to pay $25 to find out I have a cold and need to drink more fluids. Yeah, right now I am a tight wad, money isn't exactly flowing in. But by Monday morning, and no husband to take MaCrae so I could sleep, I gave in and went to see the doc. Turns out we have a sinis infections and Bronchitis! They made me do the flu test with the long cotton swab up my nose. Ouch!! It doesn't exactly feel too good. But, three medications later, and a few hours spent at the doctors and pharmacy, we see some hope. Never underestimate the power of Codiene Cough Syrup. That stuff is wonderful, but I seriously was hulicinating on it. Slept great, but I would wake up to use the bathroom (as all us pregnant women can atest to so often at night) and just laugh uncontrollably at myself trying to walk to the bathroom. MaCrae finally had a good night, and we are on the road to recovery. Maybe once I get feeling better I can start looking for remains of my house!! Anyone like to clean?

Quilting Fun

For my 21st birthday my mother got me a sewing machine and all the materials and goodies to make a quilt. I have pulled my supplies out maybe 2 times since to work on it, not getting much done. So this weekend when my parents came up for MaCrae's birthday party, my mother and I almost finished the quilt. It was so much fun, and it turned out so cute. I will post pictures when it is completely finished. MaCrae spent the whole morning on Grandma's lap at her sewing machine, so interested in everything she was doing. And only messed her up once! So, now I have a new addiction, quilting, and I have already started the second one. All the pieces are cut out and ready to be sewn together. For those of you out there who love to sew, I now understand! I just sat up last night thinking of all the things I could do, like a bed set and curtains for Mac, a baby blessing dress for Madi, and so much more. How fun. Well, I will post pictures of Mac's birthday and all his fun later. I wish I were a kid again, can you say spoiled!!

REMODELING

So with all the snow and cold weather we have recieved, my husband has taken the brunt of it. As for those who know, he works in the concrete business, which has been almost none existant the last 6 weeks. Which means a lot of family time! It was great at first. I thought it would nice to have someone to help watch Mac. Like projects I have wanted to do for a while were going to get done. Not so! Having your husband at home for so many days starts to get much harder than having them work. Instead of trying to entertain just 1, I have 2. And then I realize the whole day has gone by, and nothing has gotten done, not even he usual housework. It has been hard, but I think it is even harder on my husband. Guys have a hard time being at home that long, or atleast my husband and my dad do. They like to be out working on something. So Ryan decided that it would be a great time to remodel Mac's bathroom. The shower has never worked since the day we moved in (yes, annoying!) So Ryan demoed the tile shower walls, which left a huge mess in the tub and dust everywhere. But I was so excited to get this project going. So that night we hopped on down to Lowe's and got everything we needed for the progect. The plumbers came in and fixed the shower, and I was getting even more excited. But things just came to a hault from there. Even longer story short, three weeks later, and we are still not finished! We have family coming in for Mac's birthday party this weekend, and we are in a crunch to get it done. But everything in the bathroom has been stored in our office, which is being turned into Madison's room, that needs to be cleared out by Friday so we can paint! All I can say, remodeling is such a pain, but when it is completed, it is such a great feeling. And I find myself walking by whatever it is that has been done like 20 times a day to admire the work. Next we have to retile and paint the master bathroom, which will be a much smaller task than this last bathroom, but then we can finally redo the kitchen!! Yeah! This is probably another year away, but I am so excited to see the improvements being made. We have done so much to this home since we moved in, and by the time everything is finished and we are ready to build, I might be sad to leave! Who knows, by the time we move we might have 5 kids and need all these bedrooms!! Just kidding, we are just trying to figure out how we are going to take care of 2 kids.

My Music Selection!?!

So, when you visit my blog, you must be wondering why my music selection is SO small, and not very good. Well, you see, the only time I get to spend on the computer is when MaCrae takes a nap, or when he goes to bed. So, I keep my computer on silent. It was not until today that I realized I forgot to do something with my blog music. So for all of you who wonder what might be wrong with me, just a brain fart. Pregnant woman are allowed these. So anyway, I wanted to apologize for the horrible sounds coming from your computer while checking our blog. Hopefully soon I will care enough to get some good tunes going! Have a wonderful day, Kim
